National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is back!

Once again, the Drug Enforcement Agency is sponsoring National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Safely dispose of prescription drugs so that they don’t affect the environment or fall into the hands of children or abusers.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is on Saturday, October 22 from 10 am to 2 pm. To find a collection site near you, click here.

This is your chance to clear your home of medicines you and your family no longer use, or medicines that are past their expiration date. Take advantage of this opportunity to reduce clutter and to do it in a responsible way.

While you’re at it, take a look at the non-prescription products in your bathroom cabinet. Many of them have expiration dates on them. You will find plenty to throw away once you start looking at those dates. Anything that comes in recyclable plastic should be emptied, rinsed, and recycled.

Enjoy all the free space this exercise will give you!
